Arrived to find nearly everyone there, not much decided, but drinks and buffet afterwards.
New Bags
A good trip back after narrowly missing a deer crossing the road outside Verton. The new FlexiPlus terminal was fully open.
JVC
Heavy rain to start the day, had to buy a new TV after the old one failed. Bought a few bottles of wine at the Carrefour Foire aux Vin.
Le Crotoy
First day of La Chasse as we headed for a walk around the causeway to Le Crotoy. Moules for lunch outside back in Quend with buzzards circling overhead. In the afternoon we visited the exhibition of ancient photos and postcards of Quend-Ville in the church.
I am not a number!
Visits to the Salt museum and the Fromagerie Chèvrerie Lefort before lunch at "La Route du Sel" and then a visit to Fort de La Prée on the way back.
Abbaye des Chateliers
A rainy start to the day, but nice enough later for a bike ride to the ruined Abbey just outside La Flotte.
Crêpes et Cidre
A pleasant walk around the Maison du Fier, then lunch before climbing the 257 steps to the top of the phare.
Capitaine Haddock
Cycle ride to Saint-Martin, bit windy and we got back just before the rain, sadly no Donkeys in culottes.
Birthday Girl
An early visit to the market to buy breakfast with some Pineau sampling thrown in!! Bought a fish sculpture from the market before lunch at "Les Pieds dans l'Eau".
First Drink
A long drive (400 miles) to Île de Ré, heavy rain and a broken down camper wagon on the bridge didn't help. We arrived at the "blue house" to find it had been painted green!!
Another Year
Lovely fish stew for lunch at "Le Nicols". Brief sighting of a seal on the incoming tide and then Star Trek Beyond dvd in the evening.
Spoonbills
Just about to set off to walk to Le Crotoy when the rain came down so we cancelled the walk and drove back past the lakes at Saint-Firmin. In the afternoon we did a 40 minute bike ride through Villiers-sur-Authie and Here.
