Built using oak and red fir in Etaples-sur-Mer by Alphonse Caloin and Augustus Leroi in 1970, it was designed in the style of a typical Crotellois trawler and used for catching flatfish, shrimps and scallops.
It  continued to operate until 1996 when it was transferred to the port of Tréport to be used in fire drills for local firefighters.
Given its memorable past and the rarity of this type of hull, enthusiasts decided to save it and it was returned to it's home port of Le Crotoy.
Two teams of seven part-time employees worked on its restoration, as part of activities related to regional heritage.
