The département of Oise (60) is in region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie and is bordered by the departments of Somme, Aisne, Seine-et-Marne, Val-d'Oise, Eure, and Seine-Maritime.
Oise is one of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution on 4 March 1790.
